This present aims to give a dramatic contrast between light and shadow. Thus result in a more atmospheric experience.
particles and fire effect should be more pleasing to the eye as well.
Grasses and Trees are more lush in general.
Darker night.

My ingame setting:
AA off, Gamma value=1, Sharpening=low, Chromatic Aberration=On, blur=on, bloom=on. Most settings are down to personal preferences.
