[For SweetFX 2.0 - Added by neoglow] Alien Isolation SweetFX settings by neoglow.
SweetFX version 2.0 with Reshade
I created this preset from scratch using the latest version of SweetFX and Reshade. It is all my own work and I spent ages editing each value on the
fly when playing the game windowed until I found the settings I wanted.
These settings will really change the look of the game but may also affect the way you play the game as the difficulty may increase! :)
The colours are more realistic and more contrast adds to the definition of shadows, illumination from lights has been increased so they glow brighter.
Your flashlight will be affected by fog/smoke effects so the light bounces back making it harder to see so I suggest pointing the flashlight to one side
or down when crawling through foggy vents etc, you may get a nasty surprise if the Alien turns up! :)
Your motion tracker screen will be affected in certain light conditions, if the area is too bright, your tracker will be harder to see.
Like trying to view your mobile phone in the sun! The motion tracker screen is clear in dark areas.
I created this preset to make the game more atmospheric, colour is dulled down so the areas feel colder and more sinister instead of colourful and with
the horrible 'blue' haze the default game has. Lights shine brigther and illuminate areas more. The whole game feels darker but with brighter, whiter lighting.
This SweetFX only alters the colour, contrast and brightness of the game to create a more creepy game, it does not change sharpness or antialiasing etc,
these can be enabled with SMAA, FXAA or Luma Sharpen if you wish.
I have Gamma set to the default mid point ingame.
Film Grain ingame on max, this is a perosnal preference.
None of the screenshots below have been edited ouside of the game, they are taken directly from the game and posted here.
No post editing with any photoshop at all.
I use a trainer to control the freecam in game to change the position and angle of the shots.
I use Windows 8.1 64bit
Installation:
Copy/Paste all the text from this file into your SweetFX_settings file in the SweetFX folder using Notepad.
Remember to run the Reshade Setup application in the game directory for SweetFX to work. (its included with the SweetFX/Reshade download files)
Run the application and point to the AI.exe file, the application does the rest and creates the necessary files, eg dxgi.dll etc
This SweetFX changes the following:
* Levels
* Bloom
* HDR
* DPX
* Lift Gamma Gain
* Tone Map
* Vibrance
* Curves
* Dither
*** ONE LIMITATION *** (Which makes the game harder ;) The Security Tuner screen may be hard to see sometimes using this preset, it
depends on the amount of light around you when using it, eg at doors. I suggest if it is too hard to see, momentarily disable Sweetfx with the
hotkey (Scroll Lock) and then re-enable after using the Security Tuner. It makes it alot easier when you have an Alien patrolling around!
I enjoyed making this preset so I hope you like it and please comment! :)
I will upload more screenshots shortly.
